So the other day I saw a woman who was so skinny I wanted to sponsor her like an Ethiopian UNICEF child. I then saw a dude that was really too big for his own good. It's not that he had a large frame. He had a medium build and frame; he was just fat. If you wanna be fat, that's great! If your health and looks mean nothing to you, that's your own perogative. Just don't hurt my eyes by wearing a T-shirt you knew was too small when you squeezed your fat ass into it.
I'm on the TTC Yonge/Bloor platform writing this and I just saw this girl wearing a pair of heels that she can't walk in and short shorts with her long back and high thighs (she has no ass) and I'm thinking to myself. When did it become okay not to care about ones appearance? I'm not talking about style, because that is subjective. And I'm not talking about accepting ones self and body type, ‘cause that'll lead to other issues. I'm talking about motherfuckers that have just stopped caring. At some point, during the idea that people should be confident and proud of themselves regardless of size, people stopped taking pride in the way they look. I know a lot of people: big, small, fat, skinny, medium and average. And there are those that are larger or big, what ever you want to call it. These are people that are healthy, workout, and take care of themselves. And they take pride in the way they dress and look, because they understand that it's a reflection of the pride they have in themselves.
Fellas, you can't have a fine woman that is holding it down, while you sit on the couch getting fat. Ladies, I'm all about being secure with your body, but that also means taking pride in your body.
I hear motherfuckers talking about how they don't have as much energy as they used to, yeah, it 'cause your fat ass goes from work to the couch. The more you exercise the more energy you'll have trust me.
And no, that bullshit about how: "I walk to work everyday in the summer" doesn't fly. Cause you eat like shit throughout the day. Let me say this again, cause I hear people say this all the time. (Lawaun would agree. Haha) Walking, riding, dog sledding to work does not qualify as exercise, (if that's all you do for exercise) you lazy bastard.
If you're a mother (or father, but let's face it mostly mother), and your child(ren) is(are) young and you stay home and care for them and work to put food on the table; and you feel you legitimately have no time to exercise cause your genuinely exhausted. I'm going to cut you some slack, but not much. Why? Cause my friend Michelle, a mother now of two, is a mother to her children, works and still finds time to take her soccer thighs, beautiful breasts and fine ass to the gym and take care of her body.
Now, not everyone has the luxury of paying for or getting to a gym. But in an age of pilates DVDs, Wii fit, Men's and Women's health magazine, and the internet... You and I really have no excuse. Cause I know people that are a million times busier than you. Who take the time to take care of themselves.
It's called preventative maintenance people.
So what ever it is you need to do (and I can't believe I'm about to use a slogan)but: Just Do It. Put down the PS3, Xbox, TV guide, Desperate Housewives DVDs, and get your fat ass off the couch.
And don't you worry people, I'm preaching to myself as much as I'm preaching to you. I grounded myself from Facebook and Xbox. Yes, in my late 20’s I just grounded myself, someone had to do it. Since, I wasn’t taking care of myself, so Mike decided to ground Michael. ;)
Facebook and Xbox, two things I don't do in moderation, so they suck time out of my life, then I make the excuse that I have no time.
What is sucking the time out of your life? Is it something that's helping you or distracting you?
